Boy with Sunset and the Sand. Oil painting on canvas, 60 x 48 in.

Boy with Sunset and the Sand was painted by Tuck in 1993, and inspired by the “awesome” sight of her athletic nephew, Winter, sailing over the sand dunes of a San Diego North County beach, his carefree leap through the air backlit by one of our famous coastal sunsets.

The awesome sight made for an equally awesome painting, which Tuck has donated to Our House of Portland, an AIDS hospice for the Our House project, which provides integrated health and housing services to people with HIV/AIDS.
