project: Storm Clouds off OB
w.jpg)
Storm Clouds off OB. Oil painting on canvas. Each panel of the triptych, 12 x 32 in.
This triptych depicting the Pacific Ocean on a stormy day was created by Tuck in 1991, and evokes a favorite view from the days when she lived in San Diego’s still-funky Ocean Beach community (“OB” to locals).
Such memorable seascapes were a regular occurrence for Tuck when on daily walks with her dog, Cloud.
Thinking back on that haunting OB vista, Tuck tells me: “I love this painting. It’s much more colorful when seen in person. Really, really came out absolutely perfect.”
